Farquaad. This activity encourages the young people to think about why Shrek and

Fiona are so happy together.

• What qualities does Shrek have that Lord Farquaad does not? 
• What do Shrek and Fiona have in common? What do they like most about each other?
• Can you describe your favourite moment?
• How did the show make you feel?
• Do you feel rejected for being different sometimes? Do you think there are any students in your School that might feel rejected and lonely for being different? How can we help them?

Junior assistance project

Asistente de Idioma - Programa Fulbright

En 2016, un total de 26 jóvenes norteamericanos pasarán poco menos de un año en Argentina desarrollando proyectos de investigación o de apoyo a la comunidad. Cinco de estos becarios se quedarán en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires cuyas autoridades educativas los han seleccionado para trabajar como Asistentes de idioma inglés en distintos ámbitos de la educación pública.

Una de ellas, Keva Luke, de Albany, Estado de New York, nos estuvo asistiendo en la ENS 1. Keva tiene  títulos en Enseñanza de Español, en Cultura Latina y Caribeña y en Globalización y Estudios Multiculturales.

Durante seis semanas realizó actividades con los alumnos de 5to 3ra de nuestro Bachillerato en Comunicaciones, que consistieron fundamentalmente en práctica del idioma inglés profundizando los conocimientos sobre la cultura norteamericana e intercambiando videos con estudiantes de escuelas secundarias de Estados Unidos.

El cronograma del Proyecto “Expandiendo fronteras”  se detalla a continuación:

• Semana 2: 19 de abril de 2016- Music Trivia
• Semana 3: 26 de abril de 2016- American History Trivia
• Semana 4: 3 de mayo de 2016- "My Argentina" presentation (grabación)
• Semana 5: 10 de mayo de 2016- Cuisine in the USA
• Semana 6: 17 de mayo de 2016- Argentine Recipes
