BECAS

PROGRAMA DE MICRO-BECAS DE INGLÉS “ACCESS”

Dirigidas a: Alumnos de escuelas de gestión estatal de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, de entre 13 y 17 años de edad, escolarizados durante los dos años que dure el Programa. Se aceptan postulaciones de alumnos con nivel elemental e intermedio de inglés.

Incluye: El curso de inglés, clases de laboratorio de idioma, materiales de estudio, actividades culturales y de voluntariado comunitario, acceso a la Biblioteca Centro Lincoln, y estipendio mensual para viáticos.

Requisitos:

·         Ser alumnos de escuelas de gestión estatal de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires.

·         Tener entre 13 y 17 años de edad.

·         Tener buen desempeño académico y promedio general de 8 o más en el ciclo lectivo 2013.

Proceso de postulación:

·         Completar y entregar la solicitud de inscripción, la cual se podrá descargar desde el siguiente enlace: SOLICITUD AQUÍ o copie y pegue el siguiente enlace en su navegador de Internet http://tinyurl.com/SolicitudInscripcionAccess2014

·         Recordar incluir en dicha solicitud una foto del alumno.

·         Redactar una carta de intención en la que explicarán por qué desean obtener la beca

·         Presentar una carta de recomendación de las autoridades de la Escuela a la que asisten

·         Entregar una fotocopia de su DNI y de su boletín 2013, con Promedio General 2013 de todas las materias

Dónde entrego la documentación?

En Esmeralda 55, CABA, dirigida a las oficinas de la Dirección Operativa de Lenguas Extranjeras (sitas en el piso 8° contrafrente) en un sobre cerrado de 10 a 16 hs lo antes posible ya que las clases están planificadas para comenzar el martes 1 de abril.

Always follow your dreams!!!

How I followed my dream

When I was at kindergarten, I saw some of y classmates carrying the flag and one day I asked a teacher how I could carry it. She said to me “you have to be a great student, get the best marks and be responsible”. I couldn’t carry the flag at kindergarten because I had some problems of behaviour.

At primary school I started to follow this advice, but I had to wait six years to carry the flag. I remember the 20^th June 2007, the first day I did it. It was one of the happiest days in my childhood. I carried the flag again in the last celebration of that year.

When I started the secondary school, I remembered that advice again. These five years were very long, and I made a big effort every day to achieve my aim. Every day it was more difficult than the day before, but fortunately in December 2012, I was chosen to carry the flag because I had the best average mark. I was very happy with this news because I’d carry the flag in my last year of the Secondary School.

Now, I’m ending my last year at school and I can say “I have followed my dream and I have made it real”, and it’s beautiful!

POETRY CONTEST

In honour of National Poetry Day on 3 October, we've put together some of our favourite resources for teaching poetry. Use them to challenge your classes to write poems based on this year's theme: 'Water, water, everywhere!'
